It surprising how much crap gets thrown up into the engine and especially if your like me and manage to find some mud when wondering off the circuit . Iam still finding mud splats under the bonnet from last November , i would use a filter . Pete

I suppose it would be the most sensible option. I'll just have to modify the filter to fit the tiny gap available....typically the PAS pipework looks like it'll get in the way of where I was planning on locating the filters

definitely put filters on it chief without hesitation!

K&N do them in all sorts of shapes and sizes and also tell you how much powers worth of air they can can flow which is helpful - my K&Ns are smaller than the HKS jobbies that came before them but can flow enough air for more power than I'll ever ask of my rb26 so could go smaller still

Im looking to purchase the original service manuals with colour wiring diagram one too from the US if you are interested in getting one in too and splitting the postage It cuts out all the BS that is plagued on some of the forums of people that heard something off a mate down the pub and all the information is there for you

Out of interest what's the difference between this and the online manual, other than it having the colour wiring diagram?

I've never really looked through the online manual as I find it difficult to use but I don't believe it goes into as much detail on engine specs and tolerances like the hard copy does when it talks about piston sizes, gap sizes and much more information like that. I find it much easier to use a hard copy and having seen pics of the wiring diagram book it looks much easier than the spider diagrams at the back of the online manual.

I agree it's easier to use a hard copy rather than trying to scroll through on the laptop, I've printed off a copy of the online version and put each page into a ring binder in individual sleeves.....it's taken a lot of sleeves and I need to buy more ring binders
