Found a guide for fitting to standard Mustang bonnet, should blend in better with the carbon version on a carbon bonnet :)

In need of some advice again for the brakes as it seems like I may be killing Padgid RS29's going round Snetterton :driving:

I've done one day with them before and they were fine, but this time after a few laps I started to get juddering. It got to the point when tapping the brakes going into Corum they snatched the steering wheel to the left...awesome!

Went in, had a cool down and it looked like there was pad deposits on the discs. Went back out a little bit steady and they were okay after a couple of corners. Then gave it the beans and after a few laps, juddering again.

All okay on the way home, no issues.

Took all the brakes off the next day, checked the pistons were all moving which they were. Cleaned the pad face and the ends of the metal were they slide. Cleaned all the brake dust out of the grooves as they were all completely full of dust. Not like the K Sport pad saga were they turned to larva and melted into the grooves, just packed in dust. Even gave the disc face a quick rub down. All back together and the brakes are fine.

So, why are they now shitting the bed on track? Discs are AP Racing and virtually brand new, pads are down to about 65%.

Any advice much appreciated :)

I've also got some bling to post but I'll do that later :D

Padigs are affectionately called the deathmaster 3000 on my forum.

I'm using hawk track pads at the moment. They stop you but produce a silly amount of dust.

Have you tried ferodo 2500? Excellent allround pad, good wear and low dust

Ok well I can recommend the hawk pads for stopping power as long as you can put up with the dust!

You are still alive then. Bonnet looks good.

Have you got any cooling pointed at the brakes? might be worth investing in a little tumble dryer hose :)

Yeah still here :)

Not a bad idea with the vents, I'll take a look as it should be easy to do.

Love the bonnet :coolgleamA: . Brake pads are a mine field, use, weight of car, driving style etc etc. We use ds2500 and will be sticking with them for the simple reason when the brakes were made theu were made to work with these pads.
This doesn't however mean the pads will last long, about 3-4 events. The bite and feel is still good but the pads suffer from heat and start to crumble on the edges so we are fitting brake ducting and will just change them twice a year.
Oh, they still had about 80% meat left.

Is it 100% pads and not warped discs?
