The main bofywork is progressing nicely and Dan is doing a really good job on it. As we know, the arches were fucked, to the point of being non existent, in fact on of the rear spats has literally been suspended in thin air for the best part of this season.
The arches has already been rolled and fibreglassed previously so maybe this had been done badly which is why they rotted out so quickly. Looking at pics of when I got the car there was no rust so it's happened pretty sharpish.
Anyway, they've been cut right away and new arches welded in, and plates leading for the very bottom of the rear quarters which had all but disappeared on one side.
The rear window is out and the corrosion rubbed right back and treated. Nissan wanted
Project GTR (zed replacement)
Looking great so far matey
I thought the front wings were alloy? (so why corrosion?)

Isn't it caused by the oxidisation where alloy meets steel, Landrover Defender doors I believe are pretty bad for it
[img] Q. If you were stranded on a desert island, who would you rather be stranded with....Ray Mears or Bear Grylls?
A. No question....Ray Mears....you could make a shit load more stew out of that tubby little fecker [/img]

Anodic corrosion (plumbing the depths of my rather random memory) would be the cause on an LR, or shitty paint application. I can only imagine that shitty paint application would be the issue on something as mighty as a BNR32.
