The main bofywork is progressing nicely and Dan is doing a really good job on it. As we know, the arches were fucked, to the point of being non existent, in fact on of the rear spats has literally been suspended in thin air for the best part of this season.

The arches has already been rolled and fibreglassed previously so maybe this had been done badly which is why they rotted out so quickly. Looking at pics of when I got the car there was no rust so it's happened pretty sharpish.

Anyway, they've been cut right away and new arches welded in, and plates leading for the very bottom of the rear quarters which had all but disappeared on one side.

The rear window is out and the corrosion rubbed right back and treated. Nissan wanted

They are, and it's a good question. It's jsut got one bubble on it that's lifted the paint, although it could just be the paint thats lifted of it's own accord of course. But ally panels don't mean no corrosion or bubbling, kust ask anyone with a Land Rover Defender or Disco 1 haha

Isn't it caused by the oxidisation where alloy meets steel, Landrover Defender doors I believe are pretty bad for it

Anodic corrosion (plumbing the depths of my rather random memory) would be the cause on an LR, or shitty paint application. I can only imagine that shitty paint application would be the issue on something as mighty as a BNR32.

that's much better chap, he's done a fine job of saving her :). One of the other reason why R32's rust out is that the rear quarters fill with water - some suggest leaving the bungs out on both sides to allow them to drain!
