Exciting times at APT

Post by Stuart »

Many of you know that I work very closely with Gary and Danny @ APT, and with several of their customers too. I knew of APT's workload getting busier, and busier so a recent conversation between Gary and I meant that a day of deferred work for me saw me changing roles for a day or so, as I try my hand at demolition and warehouse manager!! :D

This tremendous 360 photo by Matt Woods shows the unit as it used to be!!! The dyno cell is moving as part of APT's business expansion, so the mezzanine and storage needs to come down, with all of the Evo panels, subframes and other bits being stored safely and securely in the mean time
Image
The dyno cell will be moving next door into a purpose built extension and in its place will be an all singing and dancing alignment set up, so APT will be a truly one stop shop for everything from engine builds, chassis alignment, super-safe tyre fitting and just about everything else too.

The mezzanine is about 50% down now, with the remaining floor to be taken up before I take a 14lb hammer to the wall and blockwork :sifone:

So tomorrow's plan is to remove the rest of the flooring and timber bracing from the mezzanine, get Gary to sort the electrics and then the old dyno cell will be no more. Things are moving on very quickly at APT HQ and the future is looking very bright indeed

Very best of luck to the APT team; I'm sure your business will go from strength to strength.

*More pics tomorrow with updates from the guys.

Your knocking down walls and ripping up floors without inviting us:smash:. With Gary's love of Fords it would have been a pleasure to take a sledge hammer to APT HQ:)

Only jesting mate:grouphug:. Good luck with the expansion and look forward to popping over sometime to see it, just need to renew my passport.

Hope you have bucket loads of fun Stu, I know I'd rather trade in my Friday at work for a chance to knock shit out of a wall.

Great news, came past APT this morning on the way through from Fakenham, but no time to stop and chat :(

Good to know things are on the up.

I was aware of the plans for obvious reasons and I am pleased to hear progress is being made already !
Good to see that the departure of one local business will be to the benefit of APT.
Well done Gary and Dan may you go from strength to strength.
