Wrx Sti Type R V5

Post by Ben »

So, I have a new toy.

(No pics of my own yet) - some of you will recognise this car from multiple threads. I had tried to buy the 'simtek' car (which was amazing!) however it sold before I could buy it to a really nice chap who's stripping it to run at bedford, so initially decided to reduce my budget and go for a V2 car, but most are cheap for a reason. So after seeing this V5 I knew it had to be.

Spec is as follows

GC8G WRX STI Type R Version 5, 2 Door
EJ207DW1PR Semi-Closed deck

Red Top Blue print engine with Forged Pistons,
Sti Short Ratio Gearbox,
Adjustable DCCD to shift power from Rear to Front Wheels to Full Diff Lock,
R180 Rear Diff,
17 " Millenium Revolution Alloy Wheels,
Race Steering Wheel and Boss Kit,
I/C Waterspray Auto/Manual,
Sti Suspension,
Original cat with Cat back 3" Afterburner Vortex Stainless Steel Exhaust System,
Autobahn Front Mount Intercooler,
HKS SSQV Dump Valve,
HKS Induction Kit,
4 Pot Sti Brakes,
Sti Embroided Seats,
Sti Carbon Strut Brace,
V5 High Level Rear Spoiler,
Mud Flaps,
Crystal Headlights,

I've already sourced a set of standard gold 5 spokes fitted with R888's. They will be refurbed first before fitting.

:) Roll on tuesday - weather is keeping me away from my baby.

mmmmmm very nice indeed, i assume the standard wheels with 888's are going to be purely for track? revolutions are nice

Well - I'm still not 100% sure about the revolutions... I would really like the new Sti wheels but I think the PCD is wrong.

If I fit the 5 spokes and really like them, I'll probably source a second set for road tyres and sell the revs.
