Stuart wrote:Well done Lee  Sounds like a great result and decent class size too......Debden is good fun, but a shocking surface (if it's the same area they used to use)
Cheers this event was Abingdon, but Debden the other week was like a RallyCross course some guy ended up in a ditch, gravel and crap everywhere.

Super chuffed came down to the last run which felt crap but was my fastest was a .10 down then knocked 0.40 off my time giving me a total lead of .5 over the two courses!

Well done Lee! Good result!
If the corses are the same as they were a couple of years back? Then i thought the second track was better. I know most thought the first was best. What did you recon?

Now with a bit more time, the first course that cars 1-100 did was the speed course (Abingdon) long swiping left handers with a hairpin in the middle it suited the clio gearing very well revving just short of the limiter saving a gear change across the line. <o></o>
Few too many barriers at the hairpin to go really hard and for some reason a load of marshals cars directly behind them!<o></o>
<o></o>
The second course (Bentley) of the day was the handling circuit again perfectly suited the rev range only using the top of 3rd others cars having to push into 4th gear. <o></o>
<o></o>
I guess the 2nd course was more fun as was much more technical, starting to get a feel for the car now and starting to relax in turn being able to note the breaking boards and other markers.<o></o>

I was up to 1st reserve sat night for the Lotus sprint so made the journey up to Thetford ready for the morning. Took part in the practice runs and lucky for me someone didn’t attend so got a place, what an amazing circuit that suited the gearing of the Clio perfectly. I struggled with only one part of the circuit, the central complex braking point. On my last run I used a cone as my breaking point after watching others from the pits breaking at various points and got my down shift and breaking perfect just starting to twitch then of the breaks and around the hairpin perfectly winning the class by 1.2 secs.
