I appreciate that these laps were only a bit of a run out by the way
Since running the car at santa pod we have had concerns with tha stance of the car, it seemed to be squatting at the rear. This was only noticed when looking at the photos.
Following on from Ford Fair where as Stu. pointed out we suffered a lot of understeer:banghead: So much so that last sunday me and Alan set an hour aside to discuss it, turned into 1 1/2 hours:boxing_smiley:
We sat down and went through the video footage stopping it after every corner to discuss why he was on the grass or as Al calls it astroturf:driving:
I wasn't picking fault with his driving just trying to understand the whats and whys.
So, what did we conclude from this......
Al can't drive for shit:smilielol5: ONLY JOKING MATE.....

Seriously though we came to these conclusions.
1. The day before silverstone we swapped the o/s/f tyre for the o/s/r. This gave Alan different levels of grip when turning left or right.
2. The engine weighs a fair bit less than herbie's engine, but we are running herbies suspension on the front.
3. When widening the rear track we inadvertantly lowered the rear end of the car due to the increase in camber.
4. The front bumper sits an inch higher thans herbie's did, so the undertray at the front is higher than it was on herbie and is slightly angled high at the bumper, lower at the cross member, causing lift.
