I know what your spelling is like Al, but "eagotesticle" may have been the funniest typo I've seen :) (Quite appropriate knowing the rep of the guy that you are on about too)

Good power figures though (pre-disaster) and it should be picked up by Gordon I guess?

Best of luck mate. Your project has been filled with so very many ups and downs. Big respect to you and Paul for sticking with it.

Another kick in then 'nads for the TNT boys.
Keep at it, you must be running out of stuff that is nt new under that bonnet.
(And yes, "he" is a bit of an arrogant twat, "Egotestical" suits him quite well-should get a sun roof banner made up and slap it on there come Ford Fair:sifone:)

As i said to Alan, i'm not actually that concerned by these failures, as it's only 20+yr old parts that have failed or where we went for a cheaper option. The heart of the engine and all moving parts have been done properly with top spec parts.
We had hoped the cheaper turbo would have lasted us about 6 events, before getting a garrett.

Such is life.........

russ it is a very good question indeed mate.
there are a few reasons why we have done this in the way that we have mate,
1. if you pot rivit and silicone the the pannel into place this is alot lighter than if you welded it in place
2. if you weld it in then you have to skim it ofterwards so that it dont look like a dogs dinner and then ether paint or vinyl the roof
3. you could just pot vivit a plate over the roof but in my personal opinion is that it looks rubbish.

stu/rob, i really hope 1 the weather is dry for santa pod 2 the man in question is there and willing to go down the strip.
in the years ive know him he has NEVER refused to go against me down the strip knowing we had a slower car so this time around if he declines the invitation at a race there is only one reason he wont, knowing he might lose.

Alan, I want the boost contoller moved, i want it attached to the bottom of the dash on the passenger side.

Reason..........Where it is now you can reach it from the drivers seat.

Don't give me any crap either about you've never thought about that.
It's like letting a 10yr old loose in a chocolate factory and saying 'Don't eat any':bart:

Where shall I start.......After being up for 28hrs this may not read right.....

Me and Alan set of this morning at 7am to go and collect the car from Gordon's. We had spoke to him yesterday and he said the replacement turbo was on and he only had to do a bit of mapping, so all was looking good. When we got there the car was already strapped on the dyno ready to go. The turbo was on was the filter and pipe were left off as Gordon wanted to check everything was ok.
1st quick run produced 231bhp at 5100rpm and only 10psi:hurray:. The next run saw a boost pipe from the boost controller blow off and was sucked into the turbo:banghead:

Turbo No3....scrap metal

So that was that no more turbo's and we haven't ordered the new one yet....bollocks....

Then someone, can't remembr who, mention Herbie's old turbo, so off Alan went to find it and was already at Gordon's. After many hours of fecking about trying to make Herbie's turbo fit the cossie and then even more hours trying to get okd one off and this one on it was done.......

So back on the dyno to set it all up again.................

:hurray: It survived, slightly less power than we had but it spools up so much earlier and with a flatter torque curve and as an added bonus the wastegate noise is totally insane...totally insane.

So Damian the 'Bastard' child of XR and Cosworth is finally home.

If you made a soap drama called TNTRacing about us, people would say it's too far fetched to be real:willy_nilly:
