What are bloody nightmare
First up, the new head has clearly been skimmed even though the seller said it standard.
This meant when I set it up on my block, when turned by hand, the valves met the piston faces, so I've either got to figure out what gaskets I need for the head, sort the pistons out, or sell the skimmed block.
On this note, would the 134 cam work in a normal head with normal valves?
(If not, there's another thing to sell)
So, one head off, one on, that one off then the original one back on again (bloody fuming by this time now)
To make matters worse, I then tried the manifold up, and the power steering I fitted a wee while ago, the manifold strikes the support bar, what a bastard!!
So for nearly 12 hours work, all I managed was a bloody service!
The only ray of light was that it was massively out of tune, and it now goes much better, but that's little consolation.
(Dave Judd needs knighting as a result of todays efforts, his patience is Saintly, and although we did nt actually achieve half of what we wanted, without him, I would have pushed it outside and set fire to it.)
