well finally the connect is dead , battery light fully on /slow wipers/dim lights etc.. etc..
managed to get it home but now the new battery is dead :(
i dont want to shell out on a new alternator to find its not that

i cant be arsed with it so i'l charge the battery and drop it off for someone to have a look

grrrrrrrrrrrrrr more bills

is it a connect? we have had a few come in at work and the little signal wire has rubbed through and broken thus thinking the alternators at fault, brings batt light on and wont charge. if i remember rightly the wire runs from the alternator along the back of the engine to the passengers side, may be worth a look?

On the plus, plus side I fitted the other 888's to Betty. They have less tread on them than a billiard ball but at least they're better than the ones I took off!! :D Should be a laugh anyway....

WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO 15 mins and all fixed what a bloody relief
it was indeed a broken wire in the loom from alternator , wires run from alt to a plug on the rad which goes into main loom
cheers everyone for the help especially shane top bannana , i think lee also mentioned this problem early on in the thread so a common problem
