OK, so the Dax uses Sierra bits for the steering and as it's been plagued with electrical gremlins, I decided to remove the dash and do some investigation. Now I've come to re-fit the steering column, I have a few bits left over
(not really just wanted to add some effect Anyway, it's the old style column with square hazard switch and horn push on the end of the indicator stalk and hexagonal section for the steering wheel .
The bit I'm confused about is a spring collar/washer/castelaterd top hat thing that I thought sat inside the plastic, indicator cancel, bush but if I fit it to the bush and try to push it onto the column, it feels as though it'll open up too much and split the plastic bush.
Any ideas of which order these two bits go? It's obvious how the plastic bush fits but not where the spring washery bit goes.
