and cheers for the hardcore comment, i didnt realise that 17 runs was quite high, i racked up 21 runs over the weekend in a daily driver
Japshow finale
Excellent report Stuart
glad to hear you and dan had a great day, those roads were shocking and it caught me out, somethings loosened up underneath my car and snapped a bolt holding the pans up

Yes, i had a great day.
Great write up as usual Stu. I echo all your comments and observations. Well done Mark, Gary etc. I also spotted the super rare Toyota and Mazda rotary plus another bloody pearl white Stagea 260RS owned by Tweenie Rob.
The Stagea drives very nice on he road now, but after having a high 11 sec GTR and a high 12 sec Pulsar, i was dissapointed with it on the 1/4 mile. Perhaps i was expecting too much from such a large, heavy unaerodynamic machine. My first shakedown run to check launch revs/clutch engagement gave a 14.29 shifting into 4th just before the finish. On the second run i launched harder and held it in 3rd to acheive a 13.95 with a terminal of 103 and a 60ft of 2.09, but revs went to around 7600 (over the 7250 safe limit for std oil pump etc) and after that i had a running issue. I hope it is just a sensor/spark plug issue or something.
The exercise proved that the Stag is not to be my 1/4 mile car as it needs quite alot more boost/power to get through the gears quicker to power through the line in 4th to get down to low 13's/high 12's and this is not the way i want to go with this car.
A very enjoyable day though.
