Looking for a receomendation on a lap timer. I cant afford expensive data loggers. I just want a simple lap timer for assesing both car and driver improvement.
Anyone got any recomendations from personal experience?

Dont know if its any help but dave w on gtroc ( he runs the gtroc shop ) has a nice little lap timer for sale. no prices but im sure mr staples would be able to haggle on your behalf, it is his old stomping ground after all. Its in the trade parts section ( upgrade parts to clear ). Hope this is of use to you.

Got a flash phone, then how does free grab you? http://www.racechrono.com/ acuracy is down to how good the gps on the phone is, obviously your not going to be getting vbox high refresh and accelarometer aided levels of accuracy, but its not bad.

I'm not sure if it actually records lap-times. I think the data logger might but I haven't looked into it too deeply.
