Post by RPS13 »

Looking for a receomendation on a lap timer. I cant afford expensive data loggers. I just want a simple lap timer for assesing both car and driver improvement.

Anyone got any recomendations from personal experience?

Dont know if its any help but dave w on gtroc ( he runs the gtroc shop ) has a nice little lap timer for sale. no prices but im sure mr staples would be able to haggle on your behalf, it is his old stomping ground after all. Its in the trade parts section ( upgrade parts to clear ). Hope this is of use to you.

Cheers. Matt.

I have an iphone so not compatible. I have used a GPS logger on it for skiing but it is not accurate for laptimes.

Got an iphone.. you could try this app:

I'm not sure if it actually records lap-times. I think the data logger might but I haven't looked into it too deeply.
