Might be a silly question but is oil getting to the turbo through the oil feed, assuming it's oil cooled :?

yep checked it , disconnected the feed into a container, doesn't run down in the turbo though oil just sits there even with the drain disconnected.
Stripped it down last night - wheels look ok but it you try to spin the wheel with it on it end it locks up and there is some end float, suspectbearing has broken up, the actuator was adjusted very short when I recieved it so I guess it had been running high boost!
Was told though that it was all ok and only done 8k :( looks like an expensive piece of junk will try to get hold of the seller hopefully he will at least contribrute towards the repair costs....

Nice one mate, did you have to pay for it all yourself? :? And where did you get the machine work done?

unfortunately so :(

although it could have been worse, I machined the turbine housing myself.
the only real cost was the centre which I managed to get for
