Good to see Gerry and Stu down to watch.
My didn't end well tho, after the weird slight drop in oil pressure 2 weeks ago I checked everything, oil change and nothing un suspected arose, checked my oil pressure gauge against a mechanical gaunge, ,they tied up. So decide to run yesterday, oil pressure was stable all day, then just as I was lining up for my last run, I blipped the revs to move up the que and heard a slight rattle from the engine, so went back to the pits and had a check, didn't sound to good so putting 2 and 2 together I suspected a main bearing was on its way out. So called the AA and waited for them to arrive. Bloke who turned up was a good bloke, had an Evo and has Sprinted it and was a memer of GreenBelt MC, he also recked it was the bottom end
So eventually got home at 8pm on the back of a flatbed

Will be making a few calls today to see what sort of timescale i can get eh car running in again, but TBH I am at a crossroads, if I hadn't put so much time and effort into the car the I would have no hesistation of sacking it off, chucking in a 2ndhand short motor and flogging it, but part of me wants to make it right as whern the car is running its an awesome car to drive.
Most important thing to work out is why it has failed, the mapping is safe, I haven't ever neglected the car on oil changes etc, always pre-prime the engine before start-up etc etc. Its not what you expect on a Steel engine thats only done 7.5k. My thoughts are it has been starved of oil when I done my driver training and spun at high speed :?: :?:
I just can't believe how unreliable these Imprezas are, its not like the 7.5k miles has been all at 110%, I wopuld say 65% is on motorways a cruising speed going places.
I am proper fecked off, looking down a decent 4 figure bill AGAIN just to get the car back to where it was last week :!:
Anyone got a nice Evo for sale :?:
