Post by vpulsar »

Hi I got the car back today form the tuner.

We finished running the new engine on Tuesday night and then mapped it for 1 bar, It made 357 bhp which will do until I've put a few more miles on it, Will then go back and map it to the 2 bar we're after.

A couple of pics>

I've already remounted the expansion tank and refitted the spark plug cover.

looking good rob,
quick question though, what are the two hoses running on top of the rocker cover and along the side of the rocker cover, are they your feed lines for the turbo?

Nice,
I know someone who runs one of these on an Evo with good results.
I had a Pace chargecooler on my first Pulsar along with an ARC topmount.

every thing seen with charge cooler is they are great for 1/4 mile drag cars but no good for track or top speed...

what you planning to use it for mate?

cool,as long as you moniter the temps or have a retard for act's will be fine

i know christian up'ed his water container size to much larger but temps still climbed and took ages to recover.

also at beginning of year simon norris had just fitted one to his and found at nearly 200mph the act's went off scale!!!

just be carefull thats all as we wouldnt want you to blow it so soon!!

Agree with Gary on this, the RX7 boys seemed to favour this as a big improvement over the FMICs, especially for drag cars. However after mixed results they are abandoned and most use the V-Mount or go back to FMICs.

Sounds a good mod for what you are intending to use the car for.
