this afternoon i have been mostly.... fitting a wideband

Despite me getting carried away with myself recently and amending my ecu maps pretty much wholesale I had been doing that without a wideband

Anyway I got hold of a Innovate LC-1 which arrived today and proceeded to fit it today. (sorry Gary)

This is supposed to be a permanent install but I thought it would be more flexible if I treated it like a semi permanent install and soldered a cigar lighter adaptor to the ends. Properly fed through the bulkhead and tidied away under the footwell this plugs in and I can now map/log away in full knowledge of AFR.

Weirdly enough the target afr's were not too far from the actual once I had road tested it (high 10's) - on the rich side but better to be safe than sorry

Been tweaking the map this morning and now running a nice safe 11.1-11.2:1 on WOT runs up to redline

God, I am sad but it is really good fun. None of this getting your hands dirty malarky to tune an engine :lol:

Duncan, i thought the WB Lamda sensor had to have power at all times or it would fail???

you are right Mike.

This will be plugged into the cigar lighter at all times when the sensor is in there.

Why not just leave it in all the time Dunc?

It probably will stay for a while but it is a shed load of wiring and once I have a selection of maps all tried and tested I dont see a need for it in there unless changing them.
