My GTR ( Part 2 )

Post by Mr Windscreen »

Finished painting the vent this morning and as the sun was shining :-D decided to have a go at fitting it. Removal of the passenger headlight was awkward as two of the bolts are tucked down out of hands reach so with a bit of fumbling around and the use of a large hammer and screwdriver :o they were off.

With the headlight removed there were a few bits of wiring that needed tidying out of the way so they wouldn,t obstruct the airflow to my filters.

The new vent fitted extremely well, no trimming necessary :-D The old wiring for the original headlight was unpluged and put out the way for ease of use when and if i need to refit it.

The new vent used the same bolt holes as the original headlight so was pretty easy to fit. The light in the new vent works on full beam with the original wiring plugging straight in

Just to finish off, i added my bigpower sticker from my membership pack. Total fitting time was around two and a half hours although i did stop to watch the F1 Racing :)

Have you wired up the new light? I found the light sits too low on mine, only a bit but it bugs me and the light won't adjust high enough, but i'll fix that later.
