NM~ a bung is exactly what it sounds like, a sleeve that fits withing the 'silencer' of an exhaust restricting the airflow. These are normally only fitted if you want to drive around in a more stealthy fashion and are prepared to sacrifice performance. It makes a massive difference to mine in both senses.
Noise limits...help!
Mine (R32) was tested at Snetterton at the proper 2/3's of all revs and registered 104.8 without the bung, so don't panic just yet
