No, for a number of various reasons.

1. To get big power from a T series you need forged internals and management
2. Everyone does it.
3. I prefer the 8 valve power delivery and the fact it costs bugger all to tune
and 4. Being such a rare car to fit a different engine would ruin some aspects of its originality.

I dont know of any T-16 Maestro's bar Andy Nicholls that is faster than my 8 valver, they may exist but

A fantastic project and a great write up, nice one :thumb: Any chance that you can post your timing slip? We ask for dyno sheets to back up bhp and timing sheets for quarters to keep the site free of bullshit :)

Very nice car mate, always liked the Maestro Turbo. Used to have a Montego turbo tuned by Moto build, so i know how quick they are.
As you said the beauty of the old skool 8 valves is that it doesn't

What a great write up of your Maestro. That is a great achievement to be proud of - well done :)

I bet the performance surprises one or two people ;)
