Excellent day, really enjoyed it.

My view of the day great people, great event, a big power success.

Best drivers briefing ever, and the lunch was fantastic. Track was good, apart from the outside of turn 1 as stuart, myself, the smashed up vx220, and im sure many more had a moment on that corner :o, also felt the complex section was a little too tight with the cones on the exit in a strange place.

Really great to be able to do track time and 1/4 miles at the same time. My biggest dissapointment and a few others that I spoke to was the limited amount of track time for Group 3 we only got 3 sessions!, Wheres Group 1 and 2 got 4 session. This limited us in having a session off to have some passenger laps in another car. At the recent Coltishall Track Day we got 7 20 mins session.

Apart from that it was great. Oh forgot the toilets eww :D

A superb day out............such an exellent way to spend a sunny day 8) 8)

I knew it was going to a good day as soon as we pulled into the stag car park at 7.45 and there sat Ben,Gareth and Stu all smiling and ready to go.Goodap duly joined us and off we went 8)

Imho I really loved the format with all types of driving available and the hassle free environment to just kick back and have a chat. Trev and I had a blast on the track and strip. This was the first trackday I did not spin on, the title of "cone finder general" this time rests on the large shoulders of Mr Staples :-D . I was crying with laughter watching Trev demonsrate the limits of standard Supra suspension to Joe. The V-max was such a rush being able to just hold it flat out

Great pics and look forward to seeing some more.

Special thanks to all involved making this what it was 8)

ps.......thanks to Ian for the tips on braking.
Dan

205 GTi....... for track and fun

Stu it`s funny how short a 1.8 mile runway feels when you are caning it, doesn`t it? I ran out of runway at Coltishall @ 145mph indicated and couldn`t believe how quick I got there. Must have been a real thrill in the R32 with another 100 horses.

Driving a fast Jap import is like coming out of the closet, you might surprise some people, but in the end you are still gay.

Stuart - ace write up - Goodap - ace pics.

Well all I can say is what a fantastic day. I've never enjoyed track time so much.

Skipping the journey there and fast forward to the sighting lap, I remember feeling sick to my stomach, firstly because I was in group 3 and looking at the cars in my group I thought I was in a bit deep!. I had the Ultima infront of me, Porsches behind me - Trevor next to me !!! - With the Ultima I concluded he'd be gone so no worries - anyway off we went in chase of the General Lee ... a car which was surprisingly fast for a MKI cortina - driven I believe by Jim himself - so I lost sight of the cars in front on the sighting lap - great .. :) ... anyway once ready to open it up, the nerves had gone and we were off - the layout had lots of fantastic fast bends - my favourite bend had to be the 2nd after the main straight, basically a deceptive little number that you could take in 4th - but found yourself nicely drifting towards the green stuff - nice little wiggle and she would be back on track. Well the Ultima - he was in my blumming way - it proves POWER IS NOTHING WITHOUT CONTROL (Or trevor driving it) - So the Ultima had to get out of my way ... I think the driver was taking it easy and didn't want to spill his coffee maybe, who knows .. :)

The the chicane - they were very entertaining - it was like throwing a house brick through a keyhole at 50mph, - My car impressed me all over again with how it dealt with these - Brrrrrrrrp, screech, Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrp, brrrrrrrrrrrrp, screech.

My highlight was Trevor with his Driftking - Blackflag - Ragweld - Super Supra. Class :)

It was a great day for getting to know everyone better also - one of the best meets I've been too. And I think every one got a ride.

Mirage - I didn't meen to shout at you :) - but I was going 90 round a corner with the backend stepping out. Glad you enjoyed the spin.

Bring on the next one.

Jim, Thank you and all the crew for such an excellent day - by far the best 'car' day i've had in ages.
