Can't help thinking that there is more media attention surrounding this bout of bad weather than there was for the poor buggers affected earlier in the year (Sheffield etc)

Not good news but we do live on an island after all.

I had a chuckle this morning, there was about 5 Policemen stopping people going through a puddle on Southtown road but none in attendance down Riverside Road in Gorleston.

This was the second time I drove down there water was about a foot higher the first time
E46 325 CI + 1999 Pajero 3.2 + E36 M3 track car 3.2 and a Mini cooper S Vert!!!

Tide surge hit Wells about 2 hours after high water here. I have a feeling that if the two had coincided it may have been a different story here. The water was well over the quay and across the road and was lapping up the kerb. As far as I know there were no properties damaged here, but the Coastguard and Fire Service were out all night keeping an eye on things.
