I've just been watching the highlights from Adelaide on Motors TV, that looked pretty wet. Shame it was just the highlights really.

Indeed! That circuit always seems to create good racing, plus some of the camera footage was excellent.

They've done a good job of parity between manufacturer's up until now, but I can see it being a nightmare balancing a lighter-weight, turbo'd 4 or V6 against the traditional V8, short of adding a large lump of ballast over the front axle.

Shock news over the last few days with Volvo announcing they're leaving V8's at the end of the 2016 season, leaving only Holden and Nissan offering full factory support to their teams after Ford officially left at the end of last year.

Bizarre considering the Gen2 regs for 2017 are going to be open to virtually any bodyshell and any engine, you'd think it would make it more viable?

Yeah weird isn't it? Especially as the racing has been great this year.

Neither Holden or Nissan have signed a contract for next year either, so there's the potential for no manufacturer support at all in 2017 (although it's highly unlikely)!

I bet the new Series sponsor Virgin Australia are getting sweaty palms... :D

Off we go again.... Superview is taking a while longer to update than I'd like.
