Friday we loaded up the car on the trailer and once it was strapped down paul noticed some fluid on the trailer.
I had a look and it was power steering fluid, noticed that it had just started leaking as the trail started as we were loading the car.
as I was traveling to croft Friday afternoon said to paul I would look at it when I got there.
truck and trailer I left mine at 14.00 for the 185mile trip to croft.

the journey up there was a long on (5 half hours) but there was some lovely views on the A1.
came across a nasty accident on the A1 which must have happened literally a couple minutes before I came across it.

got to croft at 19.30 and unloaded the car and got the kettle on for a lovely cup tea :sifone:
jacked up the car once it was in the garage to find were this power steering fluid was coming from.
found there was a crack in the pipe so called my brother to bring some break cleaner and metal putty.

so after sorting that got my tent out and set up ready for my sleep over in the garage.

Saturday morning Paul and Wayne would join me at croft so got up at 06.30 and just as the kettle had boiled I heard an exhaust note
that was very distinctive and it turned out it was the boys turning up to join me.
after we had our tea me and wayne jump straight on the car to repair the cracked power steering pipe.
pipe for now patched up and car sent to scrutanering.

Warm up session, went out on the bridgstones as croft is an abrasive surface, track was wet so used the session just to bed the new gearbox in
and to learn the lines of the track.

practise session, went out again on the bridgestones as the track was a bit damp still. started to build up my speed in the session but after 5 laps noticed there was an oil trail all round the track, knowing the rest of the day was going to be dry I ended the session early as didn't want to push the car and get caught out by slipping off the track because of the oil.
got back into the pits and paul asked why I had come in so early to which I informed him of the oil.

qualifying session, knowing that we had to win qualifying I got myself into the car early and sat in there listening to my music trying to relax.
for this event we had pit to car radio so paul would feed me information if I was up or down in response to our competitors time which proved
really good. after the 20min session paul came over the radio to say we came first and was 2.4seconds quicker.
once I heard that I was ecstatic and relieved we won.

Final session, did the same for qualifying and got into the car early.
went out on track and did 2 laps but coming out the final corner hairpin the car started to splutter upon acceleration, looked at the
fuel gauge and noticed it was low so had to come into the pit garage for a top up of fuel.
once wayne had put some fuel in went out and there was less than half the session left, paul came over the radio and said just push hard.
so after the warm up lap I just went hell for leather for the next 4 laps, unfortuntly my ear piece had fallen out and could not hear paul
radioing me only a little fuzz so after the chequered flag had come out I didn't know if we had won or not so as soon I pulled into pit lane asked paul
were we came and he said 1st 1.9seconds quicker than our competitor.
I let out my emosions and started thumping the steering wheel with joy.

so now it all comes down to rockingham nd we are going to go with the same approach as we did for croft.

Went to Santa Pod on Sunday for a new Ford show. Ford Fest, a really good event and stupidly busy. Took the car to display it on the club stand and not to run it on the strip. We are proud of our car and proud of what we have achieved so NO excuses for shouting about it.

With just over a day until the finale of the 2015 MSA Time Attack Championship there is all to play for and the nerves are starting to twitch. It's been an interesting season with lots of highs and some big lows but we've got through it. So before it all kicks off we would like to say a big Thank You to our sponsors and supporters who have stuck by us through out the year. Your support and assistance means everything to us and without it we could not compete. We hope we've done you proud.

Thank You
