Great update, your Type R is mint and as such you need to enjoy it. If you were doing car shows etc. with a decent club you would get more enjoyment out of it. I don't think the jeep could replace the Type R but would make a good stable mate for it.

I know, I'd love both but to get a jeep for an affordable price I need to purchase an unrestored one and look to then work on it. Plus with Baby here can't have the cash tied up in both.

Looks shinny.

Did you ever bother with getting new stickers?

I did buy some but they were vynil replica's ... I put them on but they didn't look right so removed them. Problem is the original OEM stickers would set me back some £300 delivered. I would prefer the car to have the WRX on the boot and the WRX on the sides, but that is an awful lot of money for decals.

I am still sourcing the front indicators in Orange, but every set i've seen have been cracked or scratched. I now have a red powder coating expansion bottle to fit, an oil catch can and need to finish the inlet manifold.

But the jeep keeps calling 'Ben, ben, ben, you need me, you want me, ben, ben' ...

Mate, you'll never get such a straight "right spec" Impreza again. I'm the worlds worst for getting itchy feet, but it's a special car, and the grass is nt always greener.

Thats a tough call mr C! Both the Jeep and the type R won`t depreciate..........
But a few years down the line when your daughter is old enough to speak her mind you would be an embarrassment with a Jeep (dads just a big kid still playing action man! ) You might get the same thing if you keep the scoob and she doesn`t turn out to be a petrol head but at least then you could take her out in it and scare her into silence. :driving:
Now the type R is about as good as they come, keep it wrapped in blankets then in 5-10 years time when everyone is running around in battery powered hair dryers you will be able to take it to shows and watch others staring at your car welling up remembering a time when they had a flat four sub 6 second car with a petrol drinking problem. ;)

Boys!!, don't make this harder than it is!

It is lovely to drive now I must admit and I can't wait to do a track day now - well could do with better disks and pads. After the laser alignment the handling has improved massively, so much more confidence in it, so much so I've been taking it for some quite spirited drives around the local roads.
