There was alot more time to find but under the circumstances I was out there I was just glad to be out on track.
It seems that there's a lot more to come......you'd best clear off some shelf space for all that silverware
There is alot more to come from the driver indeed, get my fitness and focus back.
While out there I was trying to keep myself carm to keep my heart rate low after my heart attack so really I was only driving at about 80%.

We arrived at the circuit shortly after 07.00 unloaded the car and sgtarted setting up in the pit garage whilst Alan went off to sign on. We had already discussed our plans for the day on the 3hr drive to the circuit. 1st job was to change over the wheels from the Bridgestone road tyres to the semi-slicks then make sure iot was ready for scrutineering.

Warm up and Alan was out early pounding the tarmac, he only did abouit half dozen laps before returning to the pit garage As I made my way back to the garage Alan and Wayne were deep in discussion and when I asked what was wrong he said he was just saying the clutch.
The clutch plate needs to be re-paddled as was planned to be taken out after Brands Hatch plus the clutch cable had stretched and we a new one with just in case it snapped. We had set a target lap time of 57secs so were pleased to see a 58.8ish in the warm up session and in only 6 laps.

Practise session and again Alan was out early and seemed to be pushing a little harded this time out. Again Alan pitted befoe the end of the session although this time it was for a diffent reason other than saving the clutch. He was complaing of underster and said that it felt like the front left tyre had over heated. Wayne went staright to check the tyre presure and soon called us over rthe tyre had indeed over heated and also had a chunck of rubber missing. Inspite of this Alan had still managed to a time of 57.2secs even though he was still unhappy with a couple of corners where he felt he could go quicker, so more time to come off.

With qualifying and the final still to go we had no option but to put the Bridgestone road tyres back on. Not ideal but at least we were still in it. So for the next 2 sesions Alan just went out and had fun and by the time the last chequered flag fell Alan hasd done even to secure our second win of the season.

Awesome mate, at this rate you guys will be taking the Championship with a few rounds in hand!

Any ideas if the tyre issue is preventable with some setup changes or is it a heat problem that you've just got to grin and bear?

Should be able to sort it trough simple pressure settings as we ran the same settings as we did in warm up but by the time of the 2nd session the weather and track were both a lot hotter and we didn't allow for this. You live and learn as they say.

To me Alan looks really comfortable with the car, it'd be good to see some external footage of yours from the other cars
