A while since I updated this but I did get a good amount of work done at Christmas.

Plenum, water pipes and CAS bracket have headed off to be powder coated after some smoothing down.

Bumper, mirrors and much needed door handle have now been resprayed ready for pickup.

New harness is in and interior put back together with an addition of arm rests to the doorcards which was an option on later Zeds.

Also had a little test fit of the Bomex sideskirts.

Nismo 740 injectors are in and ive used my new timing belt pulleys I had on the shelf.

Ive redesigned the air intake to have a fully split system with a more direct feed to the turbos and will run with dual MAF's on a Selin translator.

Next willbe once I'm back I can pickup the parts from the painter and install the mirrors so that finally the door cards can be put back on and the interior will really take shape.

The Bomex skirts look nice & suit the wings well :) Nice to see how older Japanese cars like this and the RX7 are still supported with new bits and development (although that's only how it appears from this side of the keyboard!)

They are supported in the US and Japan ha. There is somewhat cheap copy parts in Europe which sadly alot of people go for and then wonder why it doesn't fit perfect. Same goes for engine parts the zed has large following of people that argue that a cheap ebay FMIC is just as good as a Greddy one for instance and will fit cheap turbos then wonder why they fail after 500 miles. From what I've seen of a lot of other Jap cars is that people seem to do the job properly first time.

It's the age old discussion isn't it regarding ebay tat for the zed versus quality parts at ten times the price and though there are many opinions regarding the why's and what fors etc. my opinion is that it pretty much comes down to the zed owner and limit of investment. For example let's say you buy a tidy Skyline GTR (R32 @ £7000/R33 @ £10,000 or R34 @ £25,000) and then want to put some choice parts on it, that £100 ebay fmic is unlikely to get a look in over the HKS/TRUST/GREDDY equivilent whereas if you take a typical zed owner who's only spent £800-£2000 on his z32, he is more likely to go for the cheaper lookalike' parts and spend the rest of his £12.50 budget on a chrome 'Z' keyring

I've just had another look and you're right R32 GTR prices are on the rise again, more like £9k+ for a tidy one now
