Tough call...
I would have to go for number 4......i think?
I don`t know why but number 3 makes me think of Transformers. :)

The cars all booked in and we're not chasing pub figures. Just happy that we're finally getting things sorted :hurray:

The winter prep has begun. Starts off with me drawing up a list of jobs to be done to the car and Alan ignoring it :banghead: Then today I had an email off him outlining a list of jobs that he had done today

1. Removed the roll cage.
2. Touched up a couple of places on the roll cage that had been missed when painting it.
3. Wired up the boost controller correctly.
4. Removed the passenger seat to replace the seat cushion.

But the main job. After Silverstone back in August we noticed a small hole in the floor of the passenger footwell and this needed to be welded before the car saw action again.

Alan always sends me the raw pictures before it's all been cleaned up and painted so I can see whats been done.

I did notice that, but have learnt not to ask questions as Alan always has a logical if weird answer. So i've just rung him and asked the question.

His reply :)

'Thats what we used when we had to swap the turbo on herbie. I spot welded it to the plate I was welding onto the footwell so that I could attach the clamp to to get an earth when welding' :bart:

He once de magntised his back card by using it to apply graphics to herbie (last car)

i have piped up the wastegate properly as it was set to run on a actuator not a wastegate, 1 of the MANY issues we had on the car.

removed all the old exhaust wrap from the down pipe under the gearbox and replaced with new.

and also done this for a bit of fun :sifone:

the white bits on the front wing is primer
the paint is thin and just came off with the vinyl so instead of getting it repainted im
going to flat it back and vinyl wrap the wing.

That's the serious bit done. Alan came over at 10.30 this morning and by 11.00 after clearing the snow off the car the bonding process had begun:rofl: Needless to say what the neighbours were calling him:smash:

Wow! that doesn`t seem possible!
Youv`e had this for about the same length of time as you had Herbie? And look how far youv`e come with it (and only one small hole in the floor)
One question though, Why has this car not been named?

It has. 'DAMIAN', it had a difficult birth and i swear it keeps attacking us. Hence the bonding process above reminds. a bit like Ellanor in Gone in 60 Seconds :auto:

Oh yes i had forgotten that the naming thing had been brought up before and i couldn`t be arsed/have the days to trawl through the 100+ odd pages on this thread.
Damien does seem most fitting with the grief you guys have had though.
