I have to say that I am looking forwards to getting my teeth into this next week :) Without wishing to teach you to suck eggs Ben it's quite important that you don't get bird muck on the paint during the first few days, so if you notice any muck, please clean it off (using lots of warm water ideally) as quickly as you can. The safest method I've found for doing this is to soak cotton wool pads in shampoo and place these/this directly on the paintwork. Leave it to soften the bird-bomb and then rinse with lots of water. Anything more aggressive than this will almost certainly damage the paint, and it's especially important to take it easy during the first few days after painting.

You've made me paranoid about bird poo!!!! ..

So.....

95% complete ... ignore the missing bonnet vent, I broke the captive bolts so need replacements, and the driver door weather strip broke so new one tomorrow.

Whilst refitting body parts I replaced all the trim clips and fitted new bolts instead of reusing the original old ones.

But most of all, it's lovely to have her back, I forgot how hardcore she is!!!, I've been driving a 1.4 civic, getting into the Type R was like strapping on a ballistic missile.

Decals will be going back on after car has been fully undersealed and the paint treated.
