All of the merchandise (inc. stickers) have come out really well mate- no surprise there really.........does the ESOC replace the old Essex Scooby crew then? Didn't fancy the pink shirts anymore? ;)

Long story short Stu,

The ESC (Essex Scooby crew) had pretty much died off over the last few years with one or two members doing odds and ends to keep it ticking over of sorts.
I personally never liked the chavvy sounding crew name and the pink shirts, but the people were superb and socially it was great.
After so many people moving on and nobody carrying the baton a few of us suggested a name change to something more grown up and the ESOC (Essex Subaru Owners Club) was born.
I'm now a moderator on SN and am on most part seem to be the face that is running the new movement. Along with the help of some other enthusiastic members we are rebranding and kick starting the Essex Subaru scene and so far seem to be quite successful in doing so.
Our next event is on Sunday where were host a geometry and alignment day at Skidmarques, Hutton.

Sounds great Frayz, and something that I think many clubs need to go through from time to time. Without new blood and a fresh stimulus of ideas things get can a little stale (cough, cough :D )

Hutton brings back memories.......I spent the first four years of my life in that town :) (Probably not in an alignment shop but the details are sketchy!)

Best of luck Frayz.

Something I've been meaning to do for a while but not got around to it.
Made up a little polycarbonate under vent shield for when the weathers bad. Initially the polycarbonate one was to be used as a template for either aluminium or carbon. But since fitted I think this looks quite cool.
Spaced from the vent so still allows heat to escape while protecting the motor from the bulk of rainwater when stationary. The depression created above the vent keeps water out on the move.
Held in with some nice alloy M5 button heads to keep the look neat.

Well after 9 years my cars worn gold wheels of some sort.

It's was time for a change so I took quite a big punt on these. Always anxious of the murdered out black on black look. But I must say, so far I quite like it.
So far I think it makes the car look pretty brutal even when stationary. Also swapped to small stone guards rather than full mudflaps for a less rally look.

I need to get these Goodyears off and my own tyres on, and tempted to change the colour.

What do we think?

RAYS Volk Racing CE28N 18x8, ET44 ltd edition diamond black.

Sorry for the quick phone pics, I'll get out and take some good ones soon as I can.
