I've yet to watch a single race without nodding off part way through. It's like watching motorsport on eurosport channel, seems like the only mics are in the commentators hut and if you turn the volume up you just the commentators shouting at you.

F1 is now well and truely ruined, look at the spectator numbers in Germany, 10,000 down on last season.

Well and truely lost the plot, they need to stop telling us what we want and listern to what people are saying......bunch of arrogent muppets :banghead:

Where did you hear that, by the way? Bernie's been quoted in several articles recently saying it definitely won't happen?

I read it in the July 2014 issue of Autosport magazine

Ah, ok- Bernie's statement (on Auto Motor und Sport) only came out in the last couple of days, and Autosport.com refer to it in an article about the Stewards being more relaxed and allowing the drivers to race.

Apparently there's a big group meeting today between Bernie and the top team bosses about making F1 better. :)
Finishing off the Ford ;)

Yes, looks like there may be a bit of an about turn on this thankfully.

Quote from yesterday:

Bernie Ecclestone has called for standing starts after safety cars to be dropped for 2015, just one month after they were confirmed in next year's regulations by the FIA.

In order to spice up the show, the FIA agreed to a suggestion that the cars should start from the grid after each safety car period. The rule has been met with a mixed response from drivers but, according to FIA race director Charlie Whiting, had strong backing from the teams.

However, Ecclestone has now called for the rule to be dropped, saying the rolling starts in Sunday's dramatic Hungarian Grand Prix were "good enough".

"There'll be no standing starts after safety cars," he told Auto Motor und Sport. "What we had in Budapest was good enough."

Ecclestone also contradicted reports over the weekend that said Flavio Briatore would be brought in to head up a strategy group to make Formula One more popular.

"We don't need Flavio," he added. "We can do it ourselves."

And thats where they're going wrong. It's NOT a SHOW, it's supposed to be a race.

Phantom of the Opera = Show
Formula 1 = Race

Well that sucked, crappy clash, good race, rubbish crowd reaction.

If anyone thinks Rosberg could do that on purpose they need their heads examining, it was a clumsy move by someone who lucked into a whole heap more points. That said he didn't handle it very well, his Sky interview was embarrassing, a little bit of humility in his interviews wouldn't go amiss.

That and Hamiltons whine whine whine, I dont think either of them deserve the championship right now, hopefully Ricciardo will take it.

Wonder what the German media's take on it all was.

Agreed

And regarding the whining all I heard was a constant:

Lewis: "Guys, I know I get paid millions of pounds to drive for you but I really can't be arsed and want to go home and sulk."

Team radio: "keep driving you spoilt little prick!"

Lewis: "but the car is un-driveable?"

Team radio: "Yeah roger, that'll be why you've just set the fastest lap."

Lewis: "But the tyres won't last."

Team radio: "Fuck the tyres you whinging bitch, you're being paid a fortune to drive so just bloody drive!"

Lewis: "but Nico drove into me?!?"

Team radio: "yes and he'll be on the naughty step this evening...now just drive the...oh forget it...,box box box"

Ron Dennis: "I told you we should have got his mrs to drive instead."

Edit: fuck knows why Ron Dennis was on the Merc net ?

I meant Toto and Paddy (and I'm sure Mr Lauda will have his say)

All joking aside, I am with you regarding the young aussie....he's just such a nice guy

And has anyone else noticed that Nicci Lauda refers to Lewis as Lewis but nine times out of ten refers to Rosberg as 'the other one'
