Its the same as a 90,s civic and delsol, also some rovers. Turns out Honda did a fix to this as its a known weak point. They then changed the code for it as well so I was looking for a wrong part number. I possibly have two relays on the way now. Missing driving the teg already. I have to say all the info I found was on the American forums and there are people on there ready to ship me a relay if needed.Stuart wrote:Does it have to be one that's specific to a JDM one or even a DC2 full stop?

I wonder if its the same relay that played up on my old 416gti? If you have a picture of the suspect relay i might still have one kicking about as i had several honda powered rovers and still have lots of bits packed in boxes. Failing that i have a friend that breaks hondas (Hondanuts) You could try giving Chris a call on 07554885032.Mr Windscreen wrote:So fuel pump fine but still won,t start so suspect the main relay which also works the fuel pump. Can I find one though? No! Rare as rocking horse poo

Re: JDM DC2 Type R (ARC Airbox Fitted)
The integra,s dead
I changed fuses, main relay, fuel pump, checked spark etc and the bloody thing still won,t start. Any suggestions?????

Re: JDM DC2 Type R (ARC Airbox Fitted)
What happens when you try turning it over? Do you get any lights on the dash, any noises (such as a faint clicking noise), does it attempt to tick over? Video or images could be helpful too
Re: JDM DC2 Type R (ARC Airbox Fitted)
The only thing that i can think of is it could be something to do with the wiring to the oil gauges you fitted.
We had a simular thing with ours. Worked fine for years but when we took the dash out and came to start it, it wouldn't start. Even the RAC couldn't get it to fire, then as I cranked it over Alan moved the dials pod and she fired up.

The joy of electrical faults. What were thr five fuses it blew to start with? Might give us a bit of a clue.
Dodgy alarm?

I agree with the questions from Mr Brooks, does it crank over at all ? What sort of alarm is it ? If its a Toad then you can deactivate them completely with the 4 digit code to test if it starts.
Like Pabs says, have you fitted any other mods recently ? Or knocked anything when fitting it ?

Re: JDM DC2 Type R (ARC Airbox Fitted)
If you've fitted anything that requires electrical power sources/tapping into existing cables, double check that the soldering/shrink wrap connections are good and secure, check for frayed or split cables throughout. Alternatively, remove the after market gauges you've installed and try turning it over.

Re: JDM DC2 Type R (ARC Airbox Fitted)
ok people, the only thing I,ve fitted is the airbox, gauges are not wired up yet. The car cranks over just won,t fire. I can,t get any power or noise from the fuel pump. All other electrics work fine. All fuses are now sorted, Fuel pump relay changed for new one. It does have a toad immobiliser which only turns off with the remote. I have tried a brand new fuel pump and there is no power to this. The integra forums say it should be the main relay but I,ve changed that for a new one so I,m stumped. Someone has suggested maybe the ECU has a fault?
