I understand both sides of this. Yes as advertising Fast eddys speed shop an ultimate track weapon is going to show what you are capable of. But I also can see the benefits of and personally think a cheap, reliable, economical, fun track car is a ruddy good idea.
Put it this way...As a married family man I could not shell out 10k+ in one go for a track toy. 3k on the other hand is not beyond the realms of reality.
So good luck eddy I will keep an eye on this thread.:lurk5:
Is this general knowledge Russ or just our little secret

More good progress
Subframes painted

I have also had lots of other bits sandblasted and I primed and topcoated them. Diff, driveshafts, prop, arb's, topmounts etc.

Also been collecting lots of bits

Image
Superflex arb bushes
KYB Adjustable shocks and jamex springs

Image
New crank seal & cas seal, lightened flywheel, new 3 piece clutch and spigot bearing

Image
Superflex diff mount bushes on lsd diff

Image
Superflex rear arb bushes and more KYB shocks with lowered springs

So, the assembly can begin at last

Vast progress has been made as all the bits were clogging the place up.

Put the engine in the front subframe. Note the hose clips on the heater bypass pipe

Image

Lightened flywheel, new spigot bearing and clutch on

Image

Gearbox on

Image

Rear diff and driveshafts in the rear subframe with the poly mounts, then connected the front and rear subframes with what is called the power plant frame

Image

Propshaft and steering rack on making a rolling chassis as such.

More very soon

Eddy

If none of you have been to Eddy's lately then it looks superb in person, great work. I'm excited to see it finished, will fly round the track.

Fantastic work - for interest, do you offer the same service for other marks? - i.e. take all the underside off any car and get it powder coated?
