My SWB TT Z32...
Re: My SWB TT Z32...
I'd be worried about it blowing away from there in a strong wind.

Very nice of them to refund you some money without you having to chase them. More shiney stuff to hide away. Thats an upgrade we've still to do.

Yeah I was really impressed with their honesty and these mounts are so nicely machined that it seems a shame to have them tucked away out of sight at the bottom of the engine bay
now I'm not being pessimistic but with this being a VG 'should' anything break/fail/shit itself the entire lump would have to come back out so maybe it's not the last I'll see of them
....see clouds/silver lining and all that good stuff

Does anybody have experience with top feed fuel rails/injectors?

Re: My SWB TT Z32...
I've been having ideas about making an FRP roof for the zed and binning the targa's completely. I would think that it would shave a bit of weight off
Surely it can't be as simple as laying a few sheets of 450g fibreglass matting, applying resin and then trimming/sanding/top coating until you get a smooth'ish finish?
I'm not looking for a perfect finish

Re: My SWB TT Z32...
like your attitude to regular viewings of the engine mounts (which look great) chief. I'm having similar with the underside of my transmission tunnel....
I'm wracking my brains about the injector set up I had on my zed, I know I bought some big injectors but can't remember if I went top feed. I can't view any more but if you can find my for sale thread on the monkey forum that will be your answer.
I have Injector Dynamics 1000s on the GTR and am happy with them (on the basis that they seem to be squirting enough motion lotion in). But I have been told on good authority that the ASNU injectors give less black soot (multiple holes against 2 on the IDs from memory). But that may just be on GTRs - I certainly don't recall the zed having the soot issues the GTR had. Saying that, the IDs are sooty on 35s too so i'm not sure what my point is there...

I run the ID1000 injectors and they're excellent, definitely something I'd consider upgrading to if I was in your position.
Those engine mounts look lovely, but I think they're going to shake your fillings out!!!

I reckon you're right mate but then again I'll be too busy convincing myself that I'm the next Ayrton Senna to careBenTaylor wrote:I run the ID1000 injectors and they're excellent, definitely something I'd consider upgrading to if I was in your position.
