No it wasn't as major as that chief. Where did you find that results table, I just went on and didn't see anything about the sprint.

Had a great day, was good to get out and do something different, and the competitive element also added some spice. Great bunch of guys too, and some mental R35s there. Also good to catch up with Darrin from MLR who'd I've not seen for probably 5 years but recognised me as soon as I walked in. He's a top lad

Itwasn't a bad result all in. There was another r32 there - AlexJ I Think his name is - which had a pretty good spec so that was realistically my "class" and nice to beat some R35s.

The new gearbox with the longer first gear certainly wasn't a help with launching the car and although the car felt good towards the end of the lap where it was a bit faster I was struggling with it a bit in the tight and twisty first half.

However, it's name the breakage time, here are two pics, see who gets it first - Here's a hint, I'm distinctly unimpressed!

Good tomes Christian, same about the transfer chain. I have a box here that I changed out recently that lost 3rd. He might let you have it and then replace it as he wants to build a stronger box like yours.

Cheers Eddy. I've actually got a spare one on the box I took out but will let you know if I need it.

I may investigate stronger tx boxes....

Did you manage to get some on board footage of your runs?

What would cause damage like that, did you really thrash it today or is it just one of those things that let go due to a culmination of increased power and old age?

Looks like you have a piece of a transformer hanging out there . Well done on the 4th place on your first go and do you think that you will fix it and do the Snetterton round . Pete

Yeah I had my GoPro rigged up but haven't looked at the card yet. However, Jonny from Car Promo Vids who was filming the event put his camera in my car for the timed runs and sent me the links this afternoon so I'll post a couple when I can work out how too. Do I need a Youtube account or can I do it from Photobucket?

Not sure what caused it. Could've been weak (it came on the OSG box), Could've been damaged by the relentless launching, it's impossible to say. The weird thing is, which is shown up in the vid, is that it didn't break launching but right at the end of the lap, on a bend where there wouldn't even have been much force on the TX pack and demand for front drive.

Guess it's just one of those things

Ha, you aren't the first to say that Pete!

The 4th place congrats are a bit misplaced guys. I was 4th out of the GTRs but 9th overall.

There was a scoob and some EVOs who I think were from the MLR series that ran on the Saturday that won. Without clicking through to the results page I think there were around 20 cars running (numbered up to 25 but some people didn't show).

I'm hoping the car will be fixed and back running by early next week. I've got a TX box on the other gearbox, only annoying thing is that the gearbox has got to come out again 2 weeks after it went in. I may also look at options to get an upgraded tx box but really my priority is to get the car back on track.

Intention is to do the Snett round yes
