Good effort however am I missing something as his 0:59.7 is slower than Final lap times achieved by positions 1-14 of Club FWD/RWD and 4WD?

Did the weather drastically change between class sessions?

thanks pab's

we all sat in holding area, dry track and semi slicks as they had to clear track of broken down cars.

then the rain came, phil tried for a lap to ghet heat in dunlops but no chance , we had wet tyres already in pits as did most others, so quick change to cut wets r888's but rain was pouring.

then 6 mins to go we lost rear diff which meant phil had to retire but thankfully we'd done enough :hurray:

Yes, it was a real shame about the final, if we hadn't had two red flags and recoveries to do the Pro's might have just scraped in a few laps in the dry.
As it was I had to red flag the session a lap in when it started to rain hard and delay the restart to allow for tyre changes.
The drivers were superb in all classes dealing with the ever changing conditions and while we had more reds than usual you certainly couldn't fault the driving, it's a tricky track at the best of times and none of the TA's had a big one, it was all just sliding off.
Did see a few spectacular saves on the screens though.

Great vid...

I still feel Time Attack could do more to help promote itself and competitors. The paying public want to see these mega builds up close and at full chat, hell, even the teams/drivers want to see these cars. Over the past few difficult years it has been effectively the club class guys that have kept Time Attack going. Club Pro use to be Club Class (Group A) and Club Class use to be (Group B). It is damn near impossible to compete without some form of sponsorship and/or support from a tuner.

Without the large numbers of Club Class entries would Time Attack be financially viable?

The only form of advertising that Club Class gets at present are in the form of a few pictures and a little write up from each round.

No driver profile page
No info on drivers/teams
Very little info on cars/sponsors

You don't start off by thinking 'i know i'll build a 800bhp car'. You start by fitting a K&N and back box.........

There's a saxo with 240bhp
An Astra with a Saab engine

Just my 2pence.......
