What you got planned
What you got planned
So the weather is slowly starting to improve and people are starting to drag their cars, projects back out. So what have people got planned for this year, or hoping to get done?
Re: What you got planned
Its all houses and DIY for me. Current house is under offer, looking for somewhere to go atm. Cars will take a back seat for a couple of years, Nigels gotta go up for sale and my future is diesel powered. On the plus side new house, bigger garage and no other toys means the MG may get a look-in.
Re: What you got planned
Busy time ahead there maff. MG=V8

Re: What you got planned

I think a bike engine may suit it better :/
Re: What you got planned
For me its a house move, wedding preparations for next year, getting the Rex mapped finally and maybe tidied up paintwork wise but most excitingly a new daily toy I'm a few weeks away from finally owning.

Well I've spent the last 3 days mowing the grass, strimming the hedges and re-treating the gym and office building.
Then yesterday I spent the evening moving the zed off its axle stands (minus engine and gearbox so had to be man handled) and with a lot of swearing managed to move it closer to the workshop by about 3 feet in order to free up some parking spaces for a couple of caravans.
and now I'm going to have a cup of Rosey' and chill....

Well other than rebuilding the Camaro iam going to resurrect the old Scooby and get that back on the road , iam struggling with one rebuild at the moment so i may as well do two . I haven't put a build thread of it up yet but its getting the usual upgrades of 4/2 pot brakes and some wheels , although i don't really want to faff about with the engine .
On non car related stuff i have to build a porch because having put the concrete pad down about 5 years ago i think it should be set by now . Also back to guitar twiddling again as last year i got gout and it affected some of my fingers , pissed me right off as iam almost tea total , don't smoke and don't do junk food , hey ho .Pete

I feel positively lazy compared to you guys. The only thing non car related that i've got planned for this year is to replace 5 fence panels blown out durng the storms and rip everything out of the garden re design it and start again. I want something that will take less maintenance but still has to be a garden.
Pete, i would leave the porch for a couple more years just to make sure the concrete has gone off

Sold the house, scrapped the van, bought & sold another V70 T5, bought another van & a Smart car too. Business is very busy; so busy we're planning an extended break over Winter (somewhere warm). Aiming for southern Spain for 3 months........
Good luck with the move Maff. My estate agents were great up until the point of offer & then switched sides massively to the buyers. @ that point the process went to shit, but hey-ho the whole process lasted 10 weeks from point of advertising to completion.
I still hate estate agents
I fancy learning how to sea fish (from the shore, not on a boat). Like the idea of that. I also like the idea of maintaining the current balance of working damned hard for three or four days a week, and relaxing to an almost olympic level thereafter.
