RS National Day Santapod

Post by pablo »

It's been a long time since we convoyed down to an event so it was really good to do it again. A nice early start of 6am for the drive down to the services where we were going to meet up with the guy who had the tickets. Alan in his GT, Wayne in his 2.0 4x4 and the old man in the bone breaking, ear bleeding tin can :cuss:

This time i had a plan. A cushion and ear defenders :hurray: , which Alan found especially funny.

Hey, it worked. By the time we got there i wa still able to stand and hear :hurray:

The show itself was very very quite with only about 10 cars at anytime queing to go down the strip. This was also a very, very, very unusual day as Alan wasn't going down the strip. Unless you were into Focus's there really wasn't much else to see, a very poor turnout.

As always Paul, a nice write up!
What a shame the turn out was so poor though. I really like the new fiesta ST and the older modded mk6`s look well finished and nicely done.
How many people had a bloody good laugh at you driving with those ear defenders on?

Nice write up Pablo, and I bet that must have been great to drive the tin can eh? As the other lads have said, these look great for what they are

The white one looks like a baby Focus RS & that's no bad thing.

Wayne's Sierra is ageing nicely too. Good effort

The journey back was hard, there was an accident on the M6 and they closed the motorway just after we got onto it so we were stuck there for an hour. Alan and Wayne were getting out and walking about but i sat in the car for the whole hour we were there. Can't just jump in the car and go so i stayed put.

The car never quite felt right to me before, but it feels so much more balanced and connected now. Ear protection is a must though
