Had another week on the zed this week and all I really managed to get done was sort a couple of boost leaks after pressurising the system and then fit my carbon fibre scuttle panels fully.

The new plastic screws had arrived costing around £15 and also fitted some gold mesh under them as I wasn't happy with the way they have been made with gaping holes which you can see in the picture and is not how they look standard.

Still on a lose hunt for some wide rims as I saw a set in DW but 11.5 in the rears and I want 12 cos that extra half makes all the difference of course ;)

The battery is going to be relocated to the boot as I was given a battery box but will be on the hunt for a smaller battery as the standard is too tall for what I want. Should have the knowledge on here with all the track people to recommend the right one for the needs.

The bodyshop is still dragging their heels respraying the front bumper and passenger door handle but doing it at mates rates I can't really complain and the Bomex mirrors are in as well to get sorted.

Spent most the week in my truck as I picked up some 10" wide rims and massive tyres. The body is already on 2" lift but I needed to remove the front mudguards as they were catching and still do on full lock. I've just won a 5" body lift kit so that will sort things ;)

I've gone with the gold mesh for now and will see how I get on. It won't be hard for me to remove the scuttle panels and spray it up now I've fixed it on there as it is fixed to the car and not the scuttle panels. Just really wasn't happy with the kind of imperfect making if the carbon fibre ones and at over £160 I would of expected better.

Go and tell the monkey's about the poor finish of the carbon bits mate and see how many gang up and throw bananas at you...

as for the 5" lift kit....well you'll have to go down the V8 route now, if for no other reason than the sound!!

It does look good to be fair

it also used to drift surprisingly well in the snow, but not sure how it'd be with a 5" lift and wider track :driving:

Can't do that cos I will be banned again for writing a truthful review. Someone has just asked as well where should they take their zed for work well that's just a can of worms with do many of these monkeys around I thought you needed some sort of mechanical engineering qualification to run a garage not just a few pictures of an engine you built that went bang.

I'm just glad that this forum isn't like the zed community :)
