Well it's been a couple of months now since my last update, and I can report that the car has been behaving itself! Still a bit of a shock as the blue one didn't go a couple of days without something needing attention.
However I do have one minor but important issue that needs sorting out.
Reminds me of 2008 - 2010 ^
The clutch slave cylinder doesn't have a heat shield! I noticed on my 20 minute stint at Snetterton that the clutch went all limp and shitty after just a couple of laps.
So my guess is that the pipework suffers a fair bit from heat soak since the exhaust is right next to it.
You can just make out the piece of shield left under the bolt heads.
Once I managed to squeeze down in the engine bay and slacken the bolts off, this is all that remains of the heat shield. I popped into Dingles Attleborough last week and bought another one, but it has to come from Japan!
But the fun and frolics doesn't stop there.

Obviously you can't help but have a nose around underneath the car once it's up in the air, and I came across this;
At some point its obviously failed the MOT and had a 'quick' fix. Both the exhaust and cat flanges are missing and welded together.

Nice. I'll replace both the cat and silencer at some point, but for now they aren't leaking/failing so they'll stay.
