Am seriously considering sorting the GTRs gearbox out as this is the remaining question mark over reliability as I'm pushing it with my power output.
My original thoughts, and which I've been getting quotes on was a full rebuild using OS Giken 1-5 uprated gear kit.
But I'm now wondering about the OS 88 6 speed sequential (2nd hand). Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of these?
I've never used one and am not sure I fancy it, but if I'm spending the money I ought to consider all options, and with flatshift etc I suppose it makes sense on a track car.
Interested in thoughts.
Also, what do you think of these ratio's? It seems to me that the ratio's on the sequential will be longer than stock 5 speed once into 3rd so would that mean it's more of a drag box?
2.695, 1.703, 1.236 osg gear kit (4, 5 ratio's n/a)
3.214, 1.925, 1.302, 1.0, 0.752 stock 5 speed
2.890, 1.891, 1.468, 1.174, 1.0, 0.757 osg sequential 6 speed

Re: OS 88 Sequential Box for GTR
PM Max1 on here (Mark Moseley) or if you fail to get a response let me know and I'll see if he minds me giving you his mobile etc. Mark has the fastest home built R32 in the UK as far as I know, and he is literally a wealth of knowledge on these cars. I'm pretty sure he's had a Giken box although not sure about the spec.
Good luck mate........amazed you'd got away with a stock box for as long as you have mate
Not that you drive your's hard!!
