Goodo the forums back up and running again! :hurray:
I have to admit ive been a bit lost with it off line. I like the new layout and the extra info/statistics, even like the lucid lime. :)

I'm new to the site, but I'm glad it's up! Funny how these forums pop up and then are taken down, then ... they're back up again! I guess the moderators have hosting issues, or is it monetary? I know some forums get taken down for inappropriate content, but I'm sure this isn't one of those instances. Anybody know what the true gen is on the old forum? :seeya:
I'm not sure if National Tyres give the best deals or not, but feel free to check them out and compare them to where you get yours.

Gary, no we simply wanted a site that we didn't have to charge people to be a member of, so have gone for a much cheaper solution. AP Tuning are now funding the hosting. We set up 'bigpower' back in 2006 and had lots of pennies but the economy happened, people left, people came and it became evident that to have somewhere to hangout we needed to come up with a solution that could run without crippling myself or Stuart.

Hi Gary & Moff

Interested in your comments about the 'true gen' Gary.......what had you heard? :) If you're new to the forum, had you heard of us before or been previously registered on here?

As Ben says, we've been trying to come away from being funded by users since about 2010, and only recently been able to make that happen without it directly costing Ben & I for hosting. A switch to a cheaper and ironically more efficient host, as well as generous support from Gary @ APT has enabled us to remain free of charge to users as well as securing the future of the forum.

I hope that clarifies things..........still want to hear the gossip though as that's usually more interesting than the truth! ;)
