Had a few stonechips in the front grill so Alan decided to give it a freshen up.

Have been looking into options for gearboxes after we boke the last one. It has been rebuilt with uprated syncros and given a Deep Cryo Treatment but we don't know what it will take. We do have a spare resdy to go.

Option 1:
Strip spare box, uprate syncros, shotpeen and a DCT.

Option 2:
Buy a big tooth gear kit

Still undecided which way to go. If that wasn't bad enough Alan then pointed out to me that we need to start thinking about a new turbo, as he put it, we're not to kind to this one. Plus it's old and out dated and spools up a lot slower and later than some newer models.

The continued investment is inevitable I guess, so bringing the spec and competitiveness of the car 'uo to date' has got to be worth the extra dosh. Easy for me to say that from the comfort of my sofa (and not having competed in anything for four years!)

Are your sponsors helping this year or are you two footing the bill for all new work?

Our only sponsor is John Ashley Exhaust. We do have a meeting booked for later this month so we'll see what comes of that.

Had a real kick in nuts a couple of weeks back. I had spent a couple of months in talks with the motorsport director of DMack tyres with regards to a tyre sponsorship. Everything seemed to be going really well, even down to discussing compounds, sizes and wear rates then nothing, just stopped returning my emails.

I then found out that a company called 'Service and Sport' would be the official on event tyre fitter for Time Attack this season. Now, this is a company that I had managed to do a deal with back in 2012, although they would only do a deal on 12 tyres and at the time we couldn't afford it.

The kick in the nuts came when i found out that one of the tyres that could be bought from them was the DMack trackday tyre. Which, is not the sort of tyre that they normally deal with or sell on their website.

More updates coming soon :)

We only lost Liqui Moly Oils due to them pulling out of the UK. A real shame as I felt that could have grown. When we first linked up with them and had to put their logo on the car this caused a bit of a problem. Location and style.

Anyway, back in 2011 we decided to cut their logo in half and stick it on the rear screen as we had time attack on the front. This meant I had to do a bit of explaining to them as to why we did it  . I just blamed Alan :blush5:

Then in 2012 at the Bathurst 12hr race they did this :)

Yep Bart wrapped it. I think he's trying to wrap the whole car 1 panel at a time :)

Just a bit concerned about the tyres taking the front arches out on track.
