Possible Head Gasket Failure?

Afternoon all.

For the sake of my sanity (and confirmation) I 'think' my head gasket has just started to let go. Now I've had H/G go before on other cars where you have the typical tell tale signs with sludge under the oil + rad cap etc. However mine doesn't have this, possibly because it's just happened - but the coolant overflow does start to dribble then squirt when pressure's applied. Under the rad cap are frothy air bubbles, so thinking that the gasket has given way between the exhaust > water jacket.

So, all opinions welcome please. Has my H/G gone or maybe I have a warped cylinder head.

When I had the HG fail on my shitroen years ago there was no oil or water mixing in the sump or coolant bottle. It kept frothing and pressurising the system. It was leaking from the combustion chamber to the water channel. Maybe the same?

Sounds the most likely culprit since I thought a split across those two woukd cause thus problem. Time to ask Dr.Hayward if he could spare the time to fix it

I've used k-seal in past but I've also heard of problems with it. Maybe worth a shot for a score. But then again depends how long you intend to keep her really.

Rob S suggested that to me earlier on FB. Our experience was negative with the trucks, totalled the engine in dads and mine had other problems Mitsubishi had to fix.

Oh crap Dan it does sound like a head gasket failure with exhaust gasses getting into the water. Out of interest, Are you still getting hot air blown through the heater? And is your temp gauge at normal levels?

Yeah funny enough the temp level is still normal and heat is still flowing through the heater, so its looking more likely to be the gasket going. Messaged Dan lastnight and we'll be sorting out a date after their workload to pop over.

As nice as a turbo conversion would be Gareth. I'd want it all rebuilt before it goes in, so no chance of that just yet.
