Nurburgring Trackday 2014

Post by Monster »

As part of my plan to get as much use out of the GTR as possible this year I've decided I need to take it to the ring.

I'm going to do a properly organised open pit lane track day rather than the public days for a number of reasons but mainly the lack of traffic - bikes, mini buses etc.

So I thought I'd throw it out there and see if any BP'ers fancy doing the pilgrimage too.

It's obviously early in the season so not many days listed, although Circuit days have 2 options, April and July. July being my preference.

So let me know if you fancy it and we can book the same trip :driving:

cool, they don't have any dates up at the moment do they? Was looking at their site, whats the deal with them? do they just charge for the trackday and you sort out the rest? That was my original plan but the circuit days "tour" which includes crossing and 2 nights accom etc actually seems pretty good value

We did the Ciruit Days N700 back in 2007 with our first last car, when it was called the Nurgurg Cannonball.....Feeking awesome fun the brief at Brands Hatch set the tone.

'The Police in France Belgium and Germany know we're coming, so remembver it's a road rally not a race.'...........'See you all at Dover the ferry leaves at 12.00'

We even blew the turbo at the ring and still had to drive back to Zeebrugree or what ever it's called with a blown and siezed turbo. We got to the ferry port with 1 min to spare and i juist phoned the rac to meet us at Dover.

Totally mad adventure and i'm just glad to be able to tick that one off the list of things to do.
The ring.....theres only 2 barriers that you really need to worry about. The ones on the right and the ones on the left.
