Russ, before I forget. I found your trusty screwdriver rattling around under my seat. :D

So yesterday morning was fun, I bought a set of silver bulbs to replace the stand out orange ones in the indicators. Once fitted they looked pretty nice, then came time to use them on the road and ffs my whole lighting system went tits up! turns out that one of the owners had put in crystal corners at the front but butchered the original sidelight / indicator loom because the wrong clear corners had just an indicator plug. Which meant that the indicator was doing the job of both sidelight and indicator... Retard.:banghead:

So I've bought the correct clear (not chav crystal) corners (revision 3+) and looms so this should rectify the retarded indicator problem. :smash: Will also be fitting another electric aerial as mine somehow was flattened in the car wash. :rofl:

You must've surely? I was so obvious with them! :rofl: Speaking of which, I bet there was a lot of metal and mastic sitting on the floor after I drove out of there... ;) No worries, like I say the cold doesn't bother me that much anyway, and I'll either pop or post your screwdriver back to you some time soon. :thumbs:

Update: Had a quote from our bodywork guy annnnnnd... Big bucks. So I think we'll either leave it for now, or do the various touch-ups a stage at a time. :nod:

Update. :)

After becoming increasingly annoyed with other road users honking, flashing and shouting "Your hazard lights are stuck on mate" I've decided now is the time to ditch the non E marked badboy crystal front indicators for some genuine E marked clear units. The ones above are the tacky chavtastic eBay ones, the lower are Toyotas finest. :hurray:

Doesn't look like much of an improvement in the photos, but they really do make a difference when on the car. (And the legal aspect too)

Now the reason behind everyone giving me grief over the lights is because one of the last retarded owners decided to change the OE amber indicator/sidelight for the said chav crystal units. Ordinarily this would be fine as they used to have a separate unit for each bulb. But the ones they bought/fitted are the 1989-1992 (rev1 - 2) version which combines both sidelight and indicator in one amber bulb! :headhack: Muppets! So the new correct units come with the correct looms so I'm happy with that.

Also managed to re-align the bonnet this morning, as well as the rear boot lid as both me and Russ saw was kicking up by a silly amount on one side.
Some owners seriously. :auto:
Speaking of which, I replaced my aerial this morning as I went through a car wash listening to the radio... So I'm sure you can put 2 and 2 together and see where this went wrong. :thumbs: :D :rofl:

Things I'm yet to do though is;
Fit new EBC brake pads.
Have the car bodywork done in segments as and when I can justify the

Yeh deffo ditch the lights mate !!

If you are having bits sprayed isn't it better to have as much of the spraying done at once otherwise the paint might not match perfectly ?
