You know what bud, and I'm happy to take the inevitable abuse, but I don't like those Nismo's and never have. In fact in the pics I found of my first GTR there's one of it parked next to a guy I met at track days and stuff who had a 34GTR on those Nismos and I remember thinking how I thought it would look better on stock rims I disliked them so much. And that was 15 years ago!

BBS LMs on the hand....

Back in 2007 when I bought my old LWB zed the guy selling it offered me a mint set of these BBS rims for free though 17's rather than 18's, he said they didn't suit the car in his opinion. At the time I agreed. Ever the believer in the age old saying of 'never look a gift horse in the mouth etc.' I accepted the freebies and stowed them away in my loft (they were fitted with a brand new set of Eagle F1's which I thought might come in handy at some stage).

Anyway a guy (from the monkey forum) popped over to my place to collect a stock zed seat that I'd offered up free and whilst he was there he spotted the BBS rims in the loft, being a bit of a plank I figured his offer of

I know it's no consolation but there is another saying for times like these, 'easy come, easy go'! But fuck that, I'd rather have not taken it dry as stu puts it!

Quite excited. Picking the GTR up tomorrow as it's finished :D well, the paintwork is finished, as we all know old GTR track cars are never finished

Splitter also turned up today so with luck i'll get that on before I put the car in it's perma bag for the winter - will post on this when I do it but it's a pucka bit of kit that I haven't used since the zed. Now the drive is big enough the GTR will spend the winter out of the garage and in the bag

So thats tomorrow, today the range rover has been bleeding me dry - and it's all my own fault... will update my old thread if I can find it
