The feedback is that no variation of Ford Imperial Blue matches my car, which might indicate that it's not Imperial Blue
So Dan was off to Northampton yesterday with the Fuel filler flap to get it matched and mixed by the lightbox. I think going to Northampton sounds excessive personally but Dan is adament that these guys are the nuts and he won't go anywhere else.... sounds expensive
All of which meant that i couldn't collect the GTR today, but soon hopefully.
Oh, and also bought some more heat shield for the under side of the bonnet to try and prevent any further cracking of paint so fingers crossed

Would it not have been cheaper to just post it to them (the fuel filler flap that is, I wasn't suggesting popping the car in a jiffy bag....)
[img] Q. If you were stranded on a desert island, who would you rather be stranded with....Ray Mears or Bear Grylls?
A. No question....Ray Mears....you could make a shit load more stew out of that tubby little fecker [/img]

The bungs are in the rear wheel arches themselves. Check that the original body sealant is intact all the way around the arch mate, or that will be another fix in X amount of months time. If Dan is fussy enough to go to Northampton for a paint match, then he'll be fussy enough to underseal the car properly.
I would have thought, from memory, that your paint is closer to BMW's Mauritius blue......

Well I would have thought so, maybe he's got other stuff on up there and/or wants to swing back with the paint to crack on? I'm guessing as not spoken to him
